Leasing Consultant / Customer Service Representative for University City Apartments (Hyattsville, MD)
Seeking talented, outgoing and committed team player to join our team at University City Apartments, a vibrant and beautiful 400-unit garden-style apartment community in Hyattsville.
The individual in this position has the responsibility to maximize occupancy by joyfully leasing apartments and effectively marketing the community.
Additionally, the individual in this position courteously helps with the day-to-day operations of the business office and resident relations.
The successful candidate is an outgoing, creative and enthusiastic sales person with solid customer services skills - while at the same time being an organized and dependable individual with the ability to have fun and to multi-task in a very busy and fast paced environment. We will highly prefer a candidate who is bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
Essential Job Duties :
- Main point of contact for prospective residents - whether they call, visit online or in person
- Successfully showcasing the advantages of our breathtaking apartment homes; explaining pricing and models; showing apartment homes and closing the sale; following up on customer leads; active contribution to marketing efforts and marketing outreach
- Meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Processing rental applications timely and correctly
- Demonstrating confidence, creativity and professionalism in attracting new residents and interacting with them once they live at the community
- Taking service requests, entering them into Jenark and keeping accurate records of resident interactions
- Handling of resident concerns
- Detailed knowledge and accurate application of company policies and procedures
- General office duties and other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent sales skills; minimum 1 year apartment leasing experience or 2 years sales in another setting, preferably in the hospitality industry. Must be able to meet and exceed sales goals.
- In addition to excellent sales skills, we expect solid customer service skills
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Resourceful in coping with a variety of situations
- Organized, detailed and dependable
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Warm, engaging, inviting and outgoing personality
- Strong communication skills (orally and in writing)
- Professional appearance
- Saturdays required
- Reliable transportation required
- Dependable and committed to high performance in a busy, multi-task and fast paced environment
- Experience in property management is a definite plus, as is knowledge of Jenark Access
- Must be comfortable with various computer applications, including MS-Office and email
