Maintenance Technician for Takoma Landing (Takoma Park, MD)

Seeking experienced, dependable and committed maintenance technician to provide outstanding maintenance services to the community by being an integral part of the maintenance team.

Duties:

• Responsible for trouble-shooting split-HVAC-systems
• Responsible for all aspects of general apartment maintenance and turnovers/punchouts within the community (221 apartments and townhomes)
• On-call duty on a rotational basis for Takoma Landing shared with a nearby community

Requirements:

• It is necessary to have successful experience trouble-shooting split-HVAC-systems.
• We require successful experience in apartment/townhome maintenance, preferably with some years as a senior maintenance tech or assistant to maintenance supervisor.
• Central plant knowledge (mid- or highrise building) a big plus.
• Must have proven organizational skills and a good eye for detail.
• Must have electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair skills.
• Must have personal, reliable transportation.
• Must be professional, dedicated to high performance and courteous at all times.
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate and interact with residents and staff.
• Must be able to work as part of a team as well as self-directed. Effective leadership skills are a big plus.
• CFC Type II or Universal
• Tile & carpentry skills are a big plus.

Must be able to reach Takoma Landing within 15 minutes or less when on on-call duty or be willing to move on site.
